Mini 3-Tier Bamboo Windowsill Succulent Stand
Scaled to sit on a windowsill, this compact three-tier stand is made from bamboo and designed with succulents and other small potted plants in mind. The frame is built from slender bamboo poles that are joined with neat, concealed fixings, and the three platforms are slim bamboo boards that have been lightly lacquered to resist water marks. The overall height is modest, allowing the stand to fit beneath a sash window or on a deep sill without blocking the light or the view. The pale, natural colour of the bamboo reflects sunlight softly around the plants, and the open, airy structure does not visually weigh down the windowsill.
The three tiers are stepped in a gentle staircase, with the lowest shelf set at the front and the highest at the back. This arrangement ensures that each pot receives a share of daylight, reducing the competition for light that can occur on flat windowsills where pots are lined up in a single row. The shelves are wide enough to hold several small terracotta pots or a cluster of propagation vessels, and the bamboo is smooth to the touch with no sharp edges. Small rubber pads on the base keep the stand from sliding on painted or tiled sills and create a slight gap that allows any condensation on the window to evaporate.
The stand arrives partially assembled; the shelves simply slot into the pre-cut notches in the legs and are secured with a few small screws. The entire process can be finished in a quarter of an hour using the provided mini screwdriver. Once built, the stand is light and can be lifted easily when the windows need cleaning. To care for the bamboo, a dry cloth is all that is usually needed. If water drips onto the shelves during watering, it should be wiped away to keep the lacquer in good condition.
