Description
9-Tier Tall Plant Display Stand with Grow Lights
Rising on a slim metal frame to a height that approaches the ceiling, this nine-tier stand integrates multiple LED luminaires to provide supplemental illumination at several levels. The frame is fabricated from steel and finished with a textured powder coating, available in a choice of neutral colours that allow the stand to blend into its surroundings. The nine shelves are made from a durable wood composite faced with a wood-grain print and sealed under a clear, scratch-resistant film. Each shelf is supported by metal brackets that bolt directly to the uprights, and the layout is staggered so that the shelves alternate slightly in depth, creating a gentle zigzag that helps light reach the lower levels.
The grow lights are slim LED strips mounted to the underside of each shelf, casting light directly onto the tier below. They emit a broad spectrum and are operated by a single inline controller that can switch the entire set on or off. The adapter is low voltage, and the cables are routed along the rear of the frame through discreet channels, keeping them tidy and out of sight. The lamps are intended to supplement the natural light available in the room; they are most effective when used in conjunction with some daylight, though they can also help to maintain the condition of shade-tolerant plants in windowless corners. The LED modules are rated for a lengthy service life and are not replaceable by the user. The stand should be disconnected from the mains before any cleaning.
The narrow footprint and tall, vertical orientation make the stand a practical choice for smaller rooms, hallways, or alcoves where floor area is limited. The metal frame includes adjustable levelling feet, and the base is proportioned to keep the centre of gravity low. Assembly is carried out with the supplied hardware, and it is recommended that two people work together given the height of the finished piece. Once built, the shelves can be wiped clean with a dry cloth, and any water spills should be dried promptly. The stand is intended for indoor use and can accommodate a variety of houseplants, from compact ferns to trailing varieties that cascade from the upper tiers.
