This seven-tier stand combines solid wood shelves with a powder-coated metal frame and includes an integrated luminaire that provides supplemental light for indoor plants. The light source is a set of energy-efficient LEDs that emit a broad spectrum, intended to help maintain the vigour of houseplants positioned in corners, hallways, or other areas that receive only modest natural daylight. The lamp is mounted on an adjustable arm, allowing the user to direct the beam towards specific shelves or to raise and lower it as the plants grow. It is powered by a low-voltage adapter and operates at a gentle warmth that does not generate excessive heat, so foliage can be placed close to the lamp without concern.
Construction and Stability
The frame is built from rectangular steel tubing, finished in a textured powder coat that resists everyday scuffs and the humidity that can arise from grouped plantings. The seven wooden shelves are secured to the metal uprights with bolted brackets, each shelf displaying its own grain pattern under a clear, water-resistant seal. The stand is designed with a relatively wide base and a vertical orientation that keeps the centre of gravity low, which contributes to its steadiness even when the upper tiers carry heavier pots. Adjustable feet are included to accommodate uneven floors, and felt pads beneath the feet protect hard surfaces from scratches.
Placement and Care
Because the stand includes an electrical component, it is intended for indoor use only, in a location where the cable can be routed safely without creating a trip hazard. The timber shelves should be kept dry; any water that drips from a freshly watered pot should be wiped away in a timely manner. The metal frame can be cleaned with a damp cloth and dried immediately to preserve the powder coating. The LED module is rated for long operational life and is not user-replaceable. The stand can accommodate a diverse collection of plants, from low-light ferns that benefit from the supplemental lamp to bright-light succulents placed on the uppermost tiers near a window. As with all electrical items, it should be disconnected from the mains before any cleaning or adjustment that brings moisture near the socket.
