- Integrated Grow Light
- A slim LED luminaire is mounted on an adjustable bracket at the top of the unit, with the facility to be positioned to direct light downwards across the shelves. The LEDs emit a broad spectrum intended to supplement natural daylight in rooms that are shaded or orientated away from the sun. The lamp operates at a low wattage and produces only a gentle warmth, so plants can be positioned close to the light without damage. The luminaire is powered by a low-voltage adapter and controlled by an inline switch; the cable can be secured along the frame using the clips supplied. The light module is rated for an extended operational life and is not user-serviceable. It should be disconnected from the mains before any cleaning that involves moisture.
- Load, Stability, and Assembly
- The six tiers are arranged at equal vertical intervals, with the lowest shelf positioned just above floor level and the uppermost at a comfortable height for tending smaller pots. The wide base and the weight of the steel frame contribute to a stable stance, and the unit does not typically require wall anchoring when placed on a level, solid floor. Assembly is carried out with the supplied bolts, washers, and spanner, and it is recommended that two people handle the larger components. The fixings should be left slightly loose until the frame is squared, then tightened in a diagonal pattern. Once built, the shelf can be wiped clean with a damp cloth and dried promptly. It is intended for indoor use only and will accommodate a collection of houseplants ranging from low-light ferns to flowering specimens that benefit from the supplemental lamp.
